Arena Long Range Precision Rifle Course (Instructor: Robert Brantley)

$500.00 – $675.00Arena Long Range Precision Rifle Course is a 2 day course designed for shooters looking to take their long range game to the next level. We start from the ground up and use an easy yet proven process to build effective marksmen. We strive to make a comfortable learning environment that takes the intimidation out of long range. When this course is over you will have the knowledge and skills to be able to safely and effectively engage targets out to and past 1,000 yards. With a heavy emphasis on the how and why we will educate you on everything needed to be a proficient long range shooter. We will show you easy ways to tackle both prone and positional shooting. Whether your end goal is hunting, competition, or plinking we intend to make long range easy! Starting with a 2 hour block in the classroom we will quickly move across multiple ranges on Arena’s vast 2300 acre facility.
Primary long range instructor is Robert Brantley. Robert has 15 years experience in long range competition, hunting, and training. He is active and successful in many different disciplines including PRS, NRL Hunter, Extreme Long Range, Field/Sniper matches, Team matches, DMR, and Benchrest/F-Class. Robert has had multiple podium finishes across all disciplines and is eager to share his experiences with students.

- Employing a Tripod and their many uses
- Strategy in field and competition environments
Equipment needed:
- Rifle, Optic, Ammo capable of holding 1 MOA or better. Zeroed at 100 yards
- Common cartridges are .308 Win, 6/6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC or other short action match chambering
- Quality optic with adjustable turrets. Matching reticle preferred.
- Bipod and support bag. Recommended bag: Armageddon Gear Gamechanger or similar.
- Data Solver: Can be phone app or Kestrel integrated (Hornady 4-DOF/Applied Ballistic engines recommended)
- Data or note book along with pen/marker
- Ear/Eye protection
- Backpack or range bag for travel
- Food/Snacks (Water is provided)
Optional:
- Spotting scope and tripod
- Rangefinder
- Weather meter
Clothing:
- Comfortable clothing rated for the outdoors
- Closed toe durable footwear
- Shooting mat if desired
- Bug spray/Sunscreen
- We recommend rain gear for you and your gear in the event of rain
Due to the fast paced course with multiple people it is important that your gear is up to the task and will satisfy the needs of long range precision. We don’t wish to sacrifice the class due to someone bringing gear that doesn’t work. We will work with you if we can but intend on focusing on the curriculum to advance the group as far as possible.
